Cinco de Mayo commemorates an 1862 battle between Mexican and French, is celebrated in more Americans than Mexicans.
It is easy to put together a celebration of Cinco de Mayo with food prepared (just open the bottle).

There are many different types of salsa, green salsa made with green tomatoes, corn and black beans, with fruit flavors like peach and pineapple.

Head to the supermarket or liquor store to pick up a selection of Mexican beers. Most Mexican beer is produced by two companies:
- FEMSA is the manufacturer of Bohemia, Carta Blanca, Dos Equis, Indio, Sol, Superior, Tecate and seasonal Eve.
- Modelo produces Corona, Corona Light, Modelo Especial, Modelo Light, Negra Modelo and the Pacific.
- Star, Montejo and Victoria are made by small producers.
Try to find our favorite beer of Mexico, Black Model. It is a dark beer Munich (Munich) style: a dark lager with a full body that is a model for others, “Bavarian-style” beers.
